Job Description:

We are looking for a Project Engineer to lead CAPEX and Production/ Capital Equipment installation projects within a manufacturing environment. Working closely with equipment suppliers, contractors, and internal teams, you'll oversee projects from initial concept through to installation, commissioning, and handover.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who has progressed from a hands-on maintenance, fitting, or manufacturing background into project engineering and enjoys seeing projects through from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

• The Project Engineer will manage and deliver CAPEX projects across the manufacturing facility from concept to completion.
• Coordinate the installation and commissioning of new production line equipment.
• The Project Engineer will liaise with external equipment manufacturers, suppliers, and contractors.
• Develop project plans, budgets, and timelines.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
• Work closely with Production, Maintenance, and Engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a Project Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, or similar role.
• The Project Engineer will ideally have experience delivering or supporting CAPEX projects within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of production machinery and equipment installation would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Engineering qualification or apprenticeship background desirable.

Ideal Background: We are particularly interested in engineers who have gained hands-on experience maintaining, installing, or fitting capital equipment before moving into project engineering. This practical knowledge provides a strong foundation for managing equipment installation projects and driving improvements across a manufacturing facility.
