Job Description:

We are recruiting for an experienced MOT Tester, MOT Technician or Class 4 Vehicle Tester to join an established independent autocentre group in Nottingham. Applicants must hold a valid DVSA Class 4 MOT Tester Licence, have at least 2 years' MOT testing experience within a busy garage or autocentre and possess a Full UK Driving Licence.

Location: Nottingham
Salary: Up to £35,000 Basic
OTE: Up to £37,000 Including Bonus
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm, Alternate Saturdays 8:30am–1pm
Job Type: Permanent

MOT Tester Role

• Carry out Class 4 MOT testing in accordance with DVSA regulations
• Complete vehicle inspections and identify defects
• Accurately record MOT results and maintain compliance documentation
• Identify and report vehicle repair and maintenance requirements
• Explain MOT results and advisory items to customers
• Support workshop operations when required
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality and compliance

MOT Tester Requirements

• Valid DVSA Class 4 MOT Tester Licence
• Minimum 2 years' experience as an MOT Tester, MOT Technician or Vehicle Tester
• Previous experience within a busy garage or autocentre
• Strong knowledge of DVSA MOT testing regulations
• Good attention to detail and accurate record-keeping
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Good communication and teamwork skills
